I was in a dark place emotionally upon discovering my hubby's infidelity. Considering the fact that he wasn't even remorseful, I felt violated, and became bitter and that took a toll on our relationship. 

At first, taking the course didn't make sense because I thought I was the offended person, he should be the one to seek help not knowing that I was actually caring for myself. 

If you're reading this and you're in pain or ever feel betrayed, the first person to beam a searchlight on is yourself. 

Thanks to the HADS Course:

*I have a deeper understanding of why my spouse acts the way he does.

* I know my spouse better and have gained a clearer perspective about the fact that he's not his behaviour. 

* I focus more on what my spouse does right and not fixate on the negative. Why? Because it promotes my mental well-being, he's human and  I make mistakes too. 

* I have stopped people-pleasing and strengthened the boundaries of our relationship. 

* The self-audit part is sweeting me💃💃😘 . I sometimes fake posting videos and do imaginary phone calls and he would say ‘carry me along o’. 

* I have also identified a  support system instead of sulking in isolation and shame. 

* I have also learned to create an enabling environment for him to be honest. What he does with that is entirely up to him. 

Overall,  I am grateful to God for the experience because it births a better version of me. The question I keep asking myself is: what if I didn't know? That  I even know is something to be grateful for.

Thank you PF for creating the content. It is so insightful and has helped me.  I recommend it to whoever wants to savour the experience as it gives you the opportunity to understand your spouse before you label or categorise them. It also appeals to the humanity in you and the need to protect the heaven within you. 

 I still celebrate my small wins everyday.
